Chris and I met in October 2004 at a work (Bank One) social event in Colorado. We immediately caught each others' eye and found that we had a lot in common. We spent that winter doing puzzles, skiing, watching movies and letting our dogs play together. Before we knew it our dogs, Keller and Annie, had become best friends....and so had we. Somewhere over the next few months it became very clear to us that life just wouldn't be as amazing without eachother, side by side. Neither of us had ever experienced such a great friend and it really was a blessing. We both feel like God brought us to Colorado just so our paths might cross, and we're sure glad they did! We look forward to many years to come sharing our lives together in whatever struggles and triumphs God brings our way.
Chris and I became husband and wife in a very intimate (and windy!!) wedding ceremony on May 28, 2006. We exchanged our promises by the river in Estes Park, Colorado at a romantic bed and breakfast. Thirteen witnesses were present to hear our special vows and then we were off to the Stanley Hotel for our wedding dinner. It was an AMAZING wedding and we were so thankful for all our great guests of honor. We our so excited to CELEBRATE with everyone we know and love on our return....
Our Colorado reception was Saturday June 3, 2006 at Rock Bottom Restaurant in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Rock Bottom is a very special place for Chris and I. We spend many afternoons relaxing on the patio with some good food and great beer! We had a wonderful time sharing our favorite spot with our best friends and family. Tons of great food, beer and dancing helped us celebrate with loved ones!
Our Oregon reception was held outside Saturday July 22, 2006 7 PM at the Merrell home near Sisters, Oregon. The setting was absolutely perfect and very romantic!! Family and friends worked so hard to make it so special. The evening was filled with wine, dessert, dancing and great friends and family. The view was amazing and we will never forget the relaxing beautiful Oregon summer night.
Chris and I have chosen a rather unusual honeymoon arrangement. We will be traveling to the Fiji Islands in September, 2007. We wanted to be married as soon as possible, but knew we couldn't afford the honeymoon of our dreams until a later date. Since we have all the household necessities we could ever imagine, we thought making memories would be such a lasting gift. We are asking that any gifts you should desire to bless us with be in the way of a "memory", specifically for our honeymoon. We are already counting down the days for our special time of love!!
