We met while working at 850 KOA together. We were co-workers for awhile, and began working on the high school sports broadcasts together. After hanging out with mutual friends for awhile, we began to get to know each other better. We found we had a great deal in common, and after a few dates, the rest is history. We have now been together for nearly four years, have two dogs, and bought a nice house in Thornton that we love.
We are getting married outside at Arrowhead Golf Course in Douglas County. Niki really wanted to find a spot that was similar to the Red Rocks area where she grew up, and Cory simply wanted some discounted golf at one of the most beautiful courses in Colorado! This is the only location we looked at -- we fell in love with it immediately.
The reception is immediately following the ceremony in the clubhouse. The clubhouse resembles a ski lodge and hopefully the entire wedding will have a very Colorado feel to it, aside from all the Huskers fans present, that is. We plan to have a big ol' party after the ceremony, and would like our guests to come prepared to let loose and have some fun -- something we are sure our friends and family can accomplish for us!
The nearest airport is Denver International Airport. Our out-of-town guests are invited to stay at the Marriot DTC, where we will hold an after-party once our time at Arrowhead is up 10:00 PM. Anyone is invited to come out with us and have fun until the wee hours of the morning. The phone number for the Marriott DTC is 303-779-1100, and you can call for reservations.
